"description": "Apatero Studio is a hosted generation service whose MCP is organised around persistence rather than one-off clips: Souls are named characters you create once and then generate against, so the same face and wardrobe survive across images, video and talking-avatar takes. Beyond the character tools it covers plain image and video generation, remixes, brand-locked output, short stories, and a batching pipeline that fills a week of posts from one brief. For a filmmaker the relevant slice is narrow but real — a reusable synthetic performer with a consistent look, plus talking-head coverage of it, without running a model locally.",

"notes": "Endpoint verified alive 21 Sep 2026: an unauthenticated initialize returns 401 asking for 'Authorization: Bearer <ap_live_ key or OAuth access token>' with protected-resource metadata pointing at api.apatero.ai. Tools were not run — there is no anonymous path. Be careful copying install commands for this one from search results or AI summaries: a `claude mcp add --transport http apatero ... --header` form circulates widely and does not appear anywhere on the vendor's own page, which documents only the connector UI for the remote and npx/uvx/brew for local. Both packages exist but each has shipped exactly one version — npm apatero-mcp 0.2.0 and PyPI apatero-studio-mcp 0.2.0, both 10 Jul 2026 — and the repository URL in the PyPI metadata, github.com/Apatero-Org/Monorepo, 404s, so there is no readable source and no public commit history to judge. The vendor page headlines '20 tools' while 24 apatero_ names appear on it, several of them documentation helpers rather than studio tools; treat live tools/list as the count. Positioning is social-first — the Insta Dump and influencer pipeline are aimed at feed content, not narrative coverage — so for shot-matched performance work on footage you actually shot, hedra-official, sync-labs or tavus remain the stronger picks. Generation spends Apatero account credits at app rates with no MCP markup; apatero_credit_balance reports the remainder in chat."
