"description": "Kuaishou now fronts Kling with a first-party remote MCP at kling.ai/mcp, replacing the key-and-secret dance the community servers require with browser OAuth. Eight tools cover text-to-image, image-to-image, text-to-video, image-to-video, file upload, task polling and credit balance, with the available models declared by the server at runtime rather than pinned in a README. For a filmmaker-agent this is the shortest verified path to current Kling models without going through a hub and paying a hub's markup.",

"notes": "First verified 2026-09-06 from primary sources only; re-checked 2026-10-20, when the protected-resource metadata still named https://kling.ai/mcp behind https://kling.ai/auth with the same three scopes. https://kling.ai/mcp answers 401, and /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp names it as the resource behind authorization server https://kling.ai/auth; that server's metadata publishes authorization_code and refresh_token grants, S256 PKCE and a registration_endpoint, so DCR works and no pre-shared credential is needed. Tool names come from Kling's own npm package @klingai/cli-global (0.1.3 at first check, 0.2.3 published 2026-10-16 so it is actively shipped; published by klingai-fe off a Kuaishou corp git remote), which calls itself a thin MCP client whose commands map 1:1 to backend MCP tools. Kling's setup page is a client-rendered app that returns nothing readable to a fetcher, so the CLI line above is the standard streamable-HTTP form of the documented endpoint, not a copy of a vendor one-liner — expect a browser authorization on first connect. Narrower than the community `kling` server: no effects, no virtual try-on, no KOLORS-specific tools, and no documented model list — call tool_list. Closed source, no public repo, and it spends the same Kling credits as the consumer platform."
