## What it does

Freepik's official FastMCP server exposed Mystic image generation, stock resource and icon search, and AI image classification. It is gone: github.com/freepik-company/freepik-mcp returns 404, and Freepik's whole developer platform has been rebranded to Magnific — docs.freepik.com now 301s to docs.magnific.com, whose API reference documents only api.magnific.com. Filmmaker-agents who want this surface should connect the Magnific MCP instead, which covers the same Mystic generation plus upscaling, video, TTS and 3D over one OAuth endpoint. Kept listed so old links and configs resolve to an explanation rather than a blank page.

## Field notes

Use `magnific` instead. This server was never packaged on npm or PyPI — the only documented install was cloning freepik-company/freepik-mcp — so deleting the repo removed the sole install path, and every install field is now null. Checked 26 Aug 2026: the repo 404s to both the GitHub API and an anonymous fetch, and it was not renamed inside the org; freepik-company still exists, its only MCP repo is the unrelated prometheus-mcp, and it now carries a homebrew-magnific tap. Freepik rebranded to Magnific in April 2026 and the developer platform followed — docs.freepik.com 301s to docs.magnific.com, whose llms.txt lists Mystic, upscalers, video, audio and stock endpoints against api.magnific.com with no Freepik references left. The `verified` date records confirming the death, not a working server. Existing FREEPIK_API_KEY values may still authenticate against the REST API, but that is a Magnific billing question now; the Magnific MCP is OAuth and takes no key. Earlier notes here (78 stars, pushed Jul 2026, no LICENSE file) are no longer checkable.
