## What it does

Runware's official npm MCP package gives agents access to the Runware API: image generation, video generation, audio generation, 3D, upscaling, background removal, captioning, model discovery, pricing, task lookup, and account balance. It also searches the community catalog, so an agent can pull a Civitai fine-tune or a custom upload into a shot. For filmmaker-agents it is a broad media workbench, especially useful when a prompt needs model search plus schema validation before spending credits.

Unchanged on re-check: MIT, npm @runware/mcp still 1.3.4 from Jul 31 2026, Node >=18, repo last pushed the same day, and the twelve documented tools match what is listed here. README documents Claude Desktop, Cursor and Codex stdio configs but no `claude mcp add` one-liner — the command above is the equivalent. The canonical repo is now github.com/Runware/mcp — the older Runware/MCP-Runware was archived Oct 2025 and should not be used. It is a local stdio package, not a hosted remote MCP, and the repo still sits at zero stars, so treat npm publishes rather than GitHub activity as the health signal; nearly four weeks without a release is the thing to watch here.
