What it does

Artyfile is a London sync-licensing shop with a remote MCP in front of its catalogue: search_tracks and get_track return ranked recordings with mood, tempo, preview URL and price, get_license_terms returns the licence as machine-readable JSON, and create_checkout hands the user a Stripe page. Once paid, the agent polls the order and fetches the 44.1 kHz WAV, invoice and licence certificate. It is the opposite of generative music: real players, cleared rights, one price.

Field notes

Checked 10 Oct 2026 by running search_tracks and get_license_terms against the live endpoint without auth; the official MCP Registry lists com.artyfile/music-licensing. Basic licence is EUR 29.90 one-time per track for perpetual worldwide sync; the Limited Edition tier (EUR 69.90 per 1% share) sells fractional master ownership with royalty participation, which is a financial product rather than a licence and is not something an agent should buy on anyone's behalf. Tracks marked master_only carry no sync licence at all, so read licenseScope before quoting. The catalogue is small (the site says 1,000+ masters, heavy on cinematic and classical), prices are in EUR, and the agent cannot complete payment: a human must approve the Stripe checkout.
