Social publishing and scheduling for YouTube and other channels, with clip jobs that cut long footage into shorts.

What it does

Autoposting's hosted server covers the last mile after the cut: connect brand accounts, create and schedule posts, publish to YouTube, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and Threads, and run clip jobs that turn a long video into social cutdowns with captions. Tools are filtered by the OAuth scopes the user grants and carry read-only and destructive annotations, so a client can gate the publish calls. It is a social media operations tool, not an editor.

Field notes

Checked 10 Oct 2026: the hosted endpoint completes initialize (autoposting-mcp 1.0.0) and refuses tools/list without a bearer token, the official MCP Registry lists ai.autoposting/autoposting, and npm @autoposting.ai/cli is at 0.5.5 (MIT, updated 7 Oct 2026). The docs say 68 tools, the README says 69, and the hosted catalogue differs from the local CLI one, so trust tools/list over either. Only a sliver of the surface is about film: YouTube publishing, scheduling and the clip renderer. The rest is social media management (knowledge bases, AI-rewritten posts, carousels). Requires a paid Autoposting account plus connected social accounts; the open-source CLI does not make the service free. For plain YouTube upload without the platform compare youtube-yutu.
