Cloudinary Asset Management MCP

What it does

Cloudinary's official Asset Management MCP gives agents a media backlot: upload images, videos, and files; search and organize assets; apply Cloudinary transformations; and generate archives for delivery. For film pipelines, it is the missing bridge between generated takes, campaign assets, review exports, and CDN-ready versions.

npm @cloudinary/asset-management-mcp 0.11.0, official, published 11 Aug 2026 — the same day as the last repo commit, so this one is actively maintained. The hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint is live but POST-only (a browser GET returns 405) and expects Cloudinary credentials as headers: either the three named above or a single cloudinary-url header carrying cloudinary://key:secret@cloud. Many clients will use stdio with env vars instead. Cloudinary's own docs invoke the server through its SDK package (npx -y --package @cloudinary/asset-management -- mcp start); both packages expose the same bin/mcp-server.js, but that SDK package last shipped Sep 2025, so the dedicated MCP package used above is the fresher route. Cloudinary also publishes separate official MCPs for analysis (SSE, not streamable HTTP), structured metadata, and environment configuration; this listing picks the broad asset-management server as the filmmaker-facing entry.
