Clip Studio MCP

What it does

Clip Studio is a hosted generation platform whose whole public product line is exposed over one OAuth'd MCP endpoint: Story turns a script into a multi-shot narrated film with consistent characters, Video Lab and Image Lab run prompt- or image-driven jobs across a multi-model roster, Audio Lab does voiceover, and Topic Shorts and Talking Shorts assemble captioned social cuts. For an agent the useful shape is the storyboard loop — create a storyboard, generate the next part, render — which lets a film accrete shot by shot under review rather than arriving as one opaque clip. Every job quotes its cost before it runs and draws on the same monthly allowance a human would spend on the website.

First: this is not Celsys Clip Studio Paint. Same words, unrelated company, unrelated product — check the domain before you install anything for an illustrator. Endpoint verified alive 21 Sep 2026 (401 invalid_token with an OAuth challenge scoped `clipstudio` and resource metadata at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/api/mcp); we could not run the tools, since there is no unauthenticated path. It is new here for a reason — the official registry entry ai.clipstudio/mcp was published 2026-09-20, so there is no track record to judge yet. Clip Studio publishes no `claude mcp add` one-liner; its documented Claude route is the custom-connector UI, and the command above is the generic Streamable HTTP form. The scope rule is stated bluntly in their own docs — 'if a human cannot do it on clipstudio.ai, the agent cannot do it here' — which means no social posting: the MCP will not publish to YouTube, Instagram or TikTok, so pair it with a distribution server. Agents spend the same monthly story-part allowance as the website with no separate agent quota: Clip Pro is about 6 parts at 720p, Studio Elite about 15, Studio Scale about 35 at 1080p, quoted on the marketing page at $19, $39 and $99 a month, and eligible new accounts get one free story part without a card. Run short of allowance and tools return HTTP 402 with requiredCredits and availableCredits, then create_checkout_url hands back a Stripe link. No public source repo and no published tool count; the tool names above are read off the vendor's own MCP page, which also warns that its Mixpanel event names are analytics, not tools.
