What it does

varg's hosted MCP puts its multi-model gateway — Seedance, Kling, Veo, FLUX, MiniMax, Nano Banana, GPT Image and ElevenLabs among 100+ models — behind one OAuth connector, with about 30 tools across video, image, speech, music, transcription, ffmpeg and a TSX-to-MP4 renderer. For a filmmaker-agent the useful part is the accounting: estimate_cost and check_balance let an agent price a shot list before committing credits, and get_lineage traces how a finished asset was built.

Field notes

Checked 18 Oct 2026 against varg.ai/mcp and the changelog; nothing was rendered. The endpoint is up (it rejects a bare GET with 400, as streamable HTTP servers do), but Glama's health check on 18 Oct could not complete an authenticated call, so tools beyond the seven the vendor names are unconfirmed — call tools/list. varg's page offers an Add-to-Claude link rather than a CLI command; the claude_code line is the standard HTTP add for the published endpoint. A ChatGPT plugin shipped on 16 Oct 2026. No free tier: plans start at $24/month for 700 credits, a 5-second clip runs roughly 37-200 credits depending on model, and credits are held at render start and only charged on success. Commercial use without a watermark is included on every plan per the homepage. The linked repo is the separate open-source vargai TypeScript SDK (Apache-2.0, 342 stars, pushed 16 Oct 2026), not the MCP server itself. Overlaps with higgsfield and fal as an aggregator; pick varg if you want a priced, agent-planned ad pipeline rather than raw model access.
