CraftStory MCP
Official CraftStory server: talking-avatar video from a photo and audio, plus short MiniMax H3 clips with sound.
What it does
CraftStory's own MIT-licensed server drives its API from any MCP client: long-form talking-avatar videos built from a single photo and a voice track (CraftStory 2.0), short MiniMax H3 clips in basic, reference and avatar modes, TTS from a voice library, upscaling, images, music and sound effects. A preview_cost tool quotes credits before anything renders. For a filmmaker-agent it is a presenter and talking-head pipeline that can also produce its own dialogue, cutaways and bed music under one account.

Verified 20 Oct 2026 against CraftStory's MCP page, the repo README and npm; no tools were run. The npm package @craftstory/mcp is at 0.6.0 (published 2026-10-14, Node 20+) and maintained from a craftstory.com account; the repo lives in the itseez3d org, is MIT, created 2026-09-12 and pushed 2026-10-14 — new and active, but zero stars, so it has no track record yet. The hosted remote's protected-resource metadata points at an Auth0 tenant, and the README has you paste a fixed public OAuth Client ID (hAlwpyaDeO0CmuEKMibZxiXxtTT09NXL, no secret) into the connector's advanced settings rather than relying on dynamic registration — so in Claude Code the stdio command above is the documented route. The hosted remote cannot read local paths or chat attachments; use public URLs or the request_file_upload one-time page. Locally, any file path you pass is uploaded to CraftStory, so keep tool approvals on. API access needs a paid plan (the README names Producer); generations spend app credits and failed jobs are refunded. Long renders are async and wait_for_job returns after at most 55 s, so expect the agent to poll several times. Signed result URLs expire after 7 days — download masters promptly. For dubbing and translation, heygen reaches further.
